*(Premium Cutlery) The cutlery I use to make my sculptures is 'second-hand' which I collect from charity shops. Both price options can go outdoors, and both will stain
in places over time. The individual quality of each piece of cutlery I use will
determine how quickly this happens. The difference between the standard cutlery and the 'premium' are the markings and characteristics that identify it as having 'nickel' in it. 18chromium/8nickel, 18chromium/10nickel or is non-magnetic which is a characteristic of the presence of nickel, these markings and
characteristics are an indication it has more corrosive resistance and will
therefore happen at a slower rate. Staining can be cleaned off with a stainless
steel cleaner, like a bathroom cleaner used on taps ect. for example 'ciff'. It
can also be sprayed with WD40 or Vaseline, which would also give it some extra
resistance to the weather protection.
